Basic Math Does Not Equal Basic Interpreting

The goal of this workshop is to expose interpreters to the challenges that come with interpreting math at any level, especially the beginning college math classes. The focus will be on vocabulary, standard practices, and conceptual understanding to help interpreters feel more prepared for the hot seat. Attendees will have the opportunity to practice what they have learned and figure out what they still need to learn. Questions and impromptu scenarios are encouraged to keep things light and fun in a zero pressure atmosphere where we can all learn from each other.
