SDCRID is very excited to announce we are seeking to recruit mentors and mentees for our brand new Mentorship Program!

In our new program model, we have partnered with schools, colleges, and agencies throughout San Diego County in order to schedule mentorship pairs for an ongoing job at our partner’s job site for the Spring Semester of 2018. Mentees will be paid for their work on the ongoing job! The mentorship pairs would meet at least once a week after the job for the mentorship time that will include feedback, debriefing, and mentorship activities.

We will also continue to have several traditional mentorships for those who prefer to mentor 1-on-1 without working an on-going job with a mentee.

The SDCRID Mentorship Program, along with some of the Partners and sponsors, will provide an intensive training program focused on ethics, diagnostics, and how to talk about the work in order to train and prepare our mentors for success in working with their mentees. CEUs and ACETs will be provided for participants at no cost for all workshops, trainings, and dedicated mentorship activities (up to 2.0 CEUs for mentorship time.)

If you are excited about this new mentorship model and feel you have the time to commit to the trainings, mentorship process, and meet the program requirements, fill out the Mentor Background Form or Mentee Application and submit to mentorship@sdcrid.org.
